What internet an Israeli number needs
In short: An ordinary internet connection is enough. Home Wi-Fi, office internet or a standard local data plan — nothing especially fast is required, and no Israeli SIM or dedicated eSIM is needed.

What counts as "enough"
An ordinary connection of the kind you already have: the Wi-Fi at home, the network at the office, or a normal local data plan from the country you are in.
There is no requirement for an especially fast connection and nothing to upgrade.
Wi-Fi or local data — both work
You can buy a cheap local SIM in the country you are in and use its data, or stay on Wi-Fi. As far as your Israeli number is concerned it is the same: it works over any existing internet connection.
What happens when the connection drops for a moment
SMS messages are not lost: they wait and reach the app as soon as the connection returns.
A call, by contrast, needs a live connection at that moment — exactly like any other call over the internet.
Wi-Fi, local data, or both
At home or in the office Wi-Fi is entirely enough, and nothing else is needed.
If you want to be reachable outside as well, add a cheap local data plan and the Israeli number keeps working over it with no settings to change.
That is also the most common combination: local data day to day, Wi-Fi when there is some.
A simple check before you leave
Install the app and confirm it connects while you are still in Israel — that way you know everything works before you depend on an unfamiliar connection.
The same check is worth doing in the other direction: after you land, a first connection to Wi-Fi or local data is enough to see the number is live.

What you do not need
No physical Israeli SIM, and no separate eSIM. The service does not replace the SIM in your phone and does not require an extra card — it runs on top of the connection you already have.
In practice: you use the cheap local data plan of wherever you are, and your Israeli number keeps working over it.
Frequently asked
Do I need a fast internet connection?
An ordinary connection is enough — home Wi-Fi, a standard local data plan, or office internet.
Do I need to buy a new SIM?
No. Globalex does not replace your SIM and does not require a separate eSIM — the app works over any internet connection you already have, local SIM or Wi-Fi.
What happens if I have no internet for a moment?
Messages wait and arrive when the connection returns. A call needs a live connection at that moment.
Can I manage on Wi-Fi alone, without a local SIM?
Yes. Wi-Fi is enough; a local SIM is only needed if you want to be reachable away from home too.
Need the data at your destination too? Our travel data plans are in the eSIM shop.
